The Depot Technician is responsible for identifying and resolving hardware and software issues that could not be resolved over the telephone. Additionally, The Configuration Technician is also responsible for the physical repair, maintenance, and tracking of client equipment and operating within client Service Level Agreements and OEM procedures. The Depot Technician is also responsible for all aspects of the receiving, storing and shipping processes
Responsibilities:
Hardware Configuration and Repair
・Replicate and resolve customer issues in the software environment (Triage.)
・Replicate and resolve issues in the hardware environment (Triage.) including but not limited to defective part identification and physical replacement.
POA offsite support.
・Prioritize the day’s repairs to ensure that all equipment is returned to users within each Client’s Service Level guidelines (whether working in a dedicated or syndicated environment.)
・Complete all steps necessary to fully configure equipment for new hires and “rebuild” type repairs.
・Complete all steps necessary to complete “Termination/RTI” type repairs.
・Prepare detailed repair orders for damaged or malfunctioning equipment prior to swap of client’s equipment.
・Ensures repair procedures, training and tracking are in compliance with OEM requirements, guidance, policies and procedures.
・Responsible for daily production rates, quality control, and a neat, professional work area.
・Maintain processes and documentation verifying service order completion prior to returning equipment to inventory.
・Serve as the primary back up for Senior Depot Technicians.
Glovia and Call Logging
・Consistently monitor Glovia for incoming orders.
・Submit detailed Defective Tag summaries documenting actions taken towards the resolution of the repair process as real time as possible.
・Provide feedback on processes and technical documentation to assist in verification of order completion issue.
・Escalate issues to Depot Management as outlined by Management, Quality Assurance/Control staff as applicable.
Receiving Function
・Receive packages from various delivery/shipping services
Inventory packages
・Escalate frustrated cargo to the visibility of management
・Help with other functions (Asset Management, Shipping and Warehouse) and projects as necessary
・Receiving orders in accordance to Pick Tickets in the Glovia queue
・Accurately ensure the proper address is on all packages
・Load trucks when necessary
・Pack boxes to prevent damage to contents
・Unload trucks when necessary
・Perform cycle counts (conducting inventories)
・Maintain accurate of physical and virtual inventory of all client products and assets
・Accountable for maintenance and inventory of assets and Glovia asset locations
・Maintain correct allocation of inventory
・Confirm proper storage of assets
・Perform hardware swaps and then allocate items for shipping
Shipping Function
・Ship orders in accordance to Pick Tickets in the Glovia queue
Print shipping labels
・Accurately ensure the proper address is on all packages
・Load trucks when necessary
・Pack boxes to prevent damage to contents
・Help with other functions (Asset Management, Warehouse) as necessary
Other
・Perform special projects as assigned by management.
・Stay current on Original Manufacturer Equipment policies, changes and maintenance procedures for their equipment.
・Responsible for the Physical Security and Accountability of all assigned equipment. |
