We are seeking an IoT Platform Engineer with strong Linux server knowledge to join our team. In this role, you will work on maintaining, troubleshooting, and understanding the integration of various open-source software (OSS) components within our IoT platform. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of Linux systems and is eager to learn and work with APIs, databases, and networking tools to support the seamless operation of our IoT solutions. We are seeking a problem-solver who can quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in understanding how OSS tools are used and integrated into IoT platforms. Additionally, we value a team player who can collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Operate and perform tasks on Linux servers to ensure system stability and performance.
• Understand and troubleshoot the integration of OSS tools used within the IoT platform.
• Collaborate with the team to analyze and resolve API interactions and system issues.
• Support the platform by managing and understanding directory services (LDAP) and databases (SQL/EDB).
• Assist in diagnosing and debugging network-related issues using tools such as tcpdump.
• Contribute to the understanding and operation of distributed systems (e.g., Zookeeper, Kafka) and in-memory data storage (Redis).
Required Skills :
• Solid foundational knowledge of Linux servers and command-line operations.
• Ability to perform basic tasks and troubleshooting in a Linux environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
1. Knowledge of APIs and experience with tools like curl for testing and debugging.
2. Familiarity with LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol).
3. Basic understanding of SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server or EDB).
4. Networking knowledge, including the use of tcpdump for packet analysis.
5. Understanding of Zookeeper or Kafka for distributed systems.
6. Experience with Redis as an in-memory data store.
